Telegram Ads in 2026: Five Findings from 357,827 Campaigns

📅 2026-04-05 🔄 Updated: 2026-10-03 ⏱ 6 min read ✍ Roman

We measured 357,827 Telegram Ads campaigns with real spend on 381 accounts we operate — 1.13B impressions and 20.6M clicks as of 3 October 2026. Five findings: Stars accounts have the highest click-through rate (3.08%, against 2.18% on TON and 0.85% on Euro); an average click costs 0.040 TON on TON accounts, €0.34 on Euro and 12.8 Stars on Stars, in three currencies that cannot be added together; 99.9% of reviewed ads end up approved on Stars, 95.6% on Euro and 86.8% on TON; TON accounts with 1,000+ campaigns pay 0.69 TON per thousand impressions against 2.71 for accounts with fewer than ten; and country outweighs account type — €0.20 CPM in Uzbekistan against €2.92 in Turkey on Euro accounts.

This page began as a report on our first 159 thousand campaigns. The dataset has since more than doubled, and an earlier revision mixed old and new numbers and added spend in three currencies together as if it were one. This version is re-measured from scratch on 3 October 2026, and each figure stays in the currency its account is billed in.

The dataset

The full tables are in the Telegram Ads Benchmark Report 2026. This page is the short version.

Finding 1: Stars accounts click best, Euro accounts least

Account typeCTRImpressions
Stars3.08%10.4M
TON2.18%862.5M
Euro0.85%261.4M

CTR leaves out campaigns reporting more clicks than views or a click rate above 25%. The Euro figure is pulled down by Russia, our largest Euro market, where click-through is 0.65%; TON accounts do not serve Russia at all. So part of this gap is geography, not the account type.

Finding 2: a click costs 0.040 TON, €0.34 or 12.8 Stars

Account typeAverage cost per clickCPM
TON0.040 TON0.90 TON
Euro€0.34€2.97
Stars12.8 Stars395 Stars

These are three currencies. We do not convert them: TON’s price moves daily, and a converted figure would describe the exchange rate, not the auction. Compare within a row.

Finding 3: Stars approves almost everything, TON the least

Share of reviewed ads that end up approved, by final status:

Account typeApprovedVerdicts
Stars99.9%26,584
Euro95.6%111,903
TON86.8%160,772

On Stars, 28 campaigns out of 26,584 were declined. TON runs on Telegram’s automated moderation only; on Euro accounts a borderline decline can be escalated to a human through Adsly. Review itself is quick on all three: over 98% of 13,199 campaigns we timed in September 2026 had a decision within three hours (details).

Finding 4: big accounts pay less per impression on TON

Campaigns per accountTON: CPMTON: CTRShare of TON impressions
1–92.71 TON6.19%0.4%
10–493.07 TON4.07%2.2%
50–1992.20 TON3.36%6.3%
200–9990.92 TON2.47%23.8%
1,000+0.69 TON1.90%67.3%

Accounts that have run a thousand or more campaigns pay about a quarter of what the smallest accounts pay per thousand impressions, and they carry two thirds of all TON impressions. Their click-through is lower, which is what broad, cheap reach looks like. This is a correlation, not a cause: large accounts are different advertisers in different countries, and more than half of them run automation rules.

Finding 5: country beats account type

On Euro accounts, campaigns targeted at one country:

CountryCPMCost per clickImpressions
Uzbekistan€0.20€0.0236.4M
India€0.25€0.02217.3M
Brazil€2.22€0.1364.7M
Russia€2.68€0.415163.0M
Turkey€2.92€0.337874k

A fourteenfold spread inside one account type. Western Europe and the US we have measured only on TON accounts, in TON — Britain and Germany 0.27, the USA 0.39 — so there is no euro price to quote for them. Country tables for both account types are in the CPM by country guide.

What this data does not show

  • Hour-of-day performance. We do not have a reliable hourly split, so we make no claim about the best time to run.
  • Cost per sale or deposit. Telegram counts channel joins and bot starts; what happens after is in your funnel.
  • Per-niche prices by country. Too thin to split honestly.

Methodology

Campaigns with spend above zero and at least one impression, on accounts we operate, counted on 3 October 2026. CTR and cost per click exclude campaigns reporting more clicks than views or a CTR above 25%; CPM uses the full base. Euro figures come only from euro-billed accounts; TON and Stars figures stay in TON and Stars.

Frequently Asked Questions

3.08% on Stars accounts, 2.18% on TON and 0.85% on Euro, across 1.13B impressions.

What is the Stars approval rate?

357,827 campaigns with real spend on 381 accounts, measured on 3 October 2026. The page name still carries “159k” from its first edition.

Does time of day matter for Telegram Ads?

We cannot say from our data. We do not have a reliable hour-of-day split, so we make no claim either way.

What is the cheapest cost per click?

Per account type the averages are 0.040 TON, €0.34 and 12.8 Stars. By country on Euro accounts, India and Uzbekistan are cheapest at about €0.022–0.023 per click.
