Telegram Ads Benchmark Report 2026

📅 2026-03-09 🔄 Updated: 2026-10-03 ⏱ 9 min read ✍ Roman

Measured on our own accounts as of 3 October 2026 — 357,827 campaigns with spend, 381 accounts, 1.13B impressions — Telegram Ads averages €2.97 CPM and 0.85% CTR on Euro accounts, 0.90 TON and 2.18% on TON accounts, and 395 Stars and 3.08% on Stars accounts. The country you target moves the price more than anything else: on Euro accounts, Uzbekistan €0.20, India €0.25, the UAE €1.42, Brazil €2.22, Russia €2.68 and Turkey €2.92 per thousand impressions; on TON accounts, priced in TON, Britain and Germany 0.27 and the USA 0.39. Moderation approves 99.9% of reviewed ads on Stars, 95.6% on Euro and 86.8% on TON, and over 98% of 13,199 campaigns we timed had a decision within three hours.

Every number in this report comes from campaigns that ran on accounts we operate, counted in our own database. Nothing here is an industry estimate, and nothing is converted between currencies. Where we have no measurement, the report says so.

Measured: 3 October 2026 unless a table says otherwise · Base: 357,827 campaigns with real spend · 381 accounts · 1.13B impressions

1. The base, and why there are three currencies

Telegram Ads bills each account in its own currency: Euro accounts in euros, TON accounts in TON, Stars accounts in Stars. Spend on our accounts to date is €773k on Euro accounts, 774k TON on TON accounts and 4.1M Stars on Stars accounts. Those are three separate totals. Adding them up, or converting one into another at a day’s exchange rate, would turn a measurement into a guess — an earlier version of this report did exactly that, and it is corrected here.

2. By account type

All campaigns with spend, each account type in its own currency.

Account typeCampaignsAccountsImpressionsCPMCTR
TON239,690262862.5M0.90 TON2.18%
Euro113,149106261.4M€2.970.85%
Stars4,9881310.4M395 Stars3.08%

CTR leaves out campaigns that report more clicks than views or a CTR above 25%; CPM uses everything. Compare CPM within a row’s own currency, not across rows. The Euro row is mostly Russia — our largest Euro market and one TON accounts cannot serve — so its lower CTR reflects that market as much as the account type.

3. By country

Campaigns targeted at a single country. Euro accounts:

CountryCPMCTRCost per clickImpressions
Uzbekistan€0.200.90%€0.0236.4M
India€0.251.12%€0.02217.3M
UAE€1.421.36%€0.104295k
Brazil€2.221.64%€0.1364.7M
Russia€2.680.65%€0.415163.0M
Turkey€2.920.87%€0.337874k

TON accounts, 22 August–3 October 2026, prices in TON:

CountryCPM, TONCTRCost per click, TONImpressions
Britain0.273.03%0.0092.6M
Germany0.272.86%0.0105.5M
USA0.391.97%0.02014.8M
India0.421.77%0.02412.0M
Saudi Arabia1.211.26%0.0976.0M
UAE3.792.65%0.1432.7M

Our Euro accounts have not run single-country campaigns in Western Europe or North America, so there is no euro price to quote for them. Full tables for both account types are in the CPM by country guide.

4. By vertical

Self-service Euro accounts, all countries blended. A thinner base than the country tables, so read the impressions column.

VerticalCPMCTRCost per clickImpressions
Binary options€1.410.38%€0.3741.35M
Forex€1.881.89%€0.102418k
Crypto€1.910.53%€0.358821k
Gambling€2.5513.19%€0.019175k
VPN€2.611.06%€0.246203k

Treat the gambling click-through with caution: 13% on 175k impressions is high even after impossible click rates are removed. We do not publish figures for other verticals — education, eCommerce, SaaS, dating, news — because we cannot separate them reliably in our data.

5. Cost per click by destination

Euro accounts, September 2026, grouped by what the campaign promoted.

DestinationCPMCTRCost per clickImpressionsAccounts
Mini App€1.504.00%€0.0381.1M6

Channel€2.920.82%€0.355252M90
Bot€5.292.36%€0.2236.0M37

The channel row stands on 252M impressions; the Mini App row on six accounts. Read it as a direction.

6. Moderation: approval and speed

Share of reviewed ads that end up approved, by final status, all campaigns that reached a verdict:

How long review takes, from hourly status snapshots of 13,199 campaigns created between 7 and 27 September 2026:

Account typeDecided within 1 hourWithin 3 hours
Stars85.6%100%
TON86.5%99.9%
Euro84.6%98.5%

The claim that Euro moderation takes 12 to 48 hours does not hold on our accounts, and submitting in Moscow business hours made no difference. Details are in the declined ads guide.

7. By account size

Accounts grouped by how many campaigns they have run. CPM in the account’s currency.

Campaigns per accountTON: CPMTON: CTRTON: use automation rulesEuro: CPMEuro: CTREuro: use automation rules

1,000+0.69 TON1.90%54%€3.200.78%77%

On TON, accounts with 1,000 or more campaigns pay about a quarter of what the smallest accounts pay per thousand impressions, and carry 67% of all TON impressions. On Euro the pattern is not monotonic, because the largest accounts buy mostly Russia. This is a correlation, not a cause: large accounts are different advertisers in different countries, and most of them also run automation rules.

8. What we do not measure

  • Best hours and days to run. Our snapshots record status and totals per hour, not a reliable hour-of-day performance split, so this report has no heat map.
  • Cost per deposit, sale or lead. Telegram’s “actions” are channel joins and bot starts. What happens after depends on your funnel; measure it with postbacks.
  • Per-niche prices inside one country. The base is too thin to split honestly.
  • Growth rates by account type. We do not publish adoption percentages.

Method

  • Campaigns with spend above zero and at least one impression.
  • CTR and cost per click exclude campaigns reporting more clicks than views or a CTR above 25%; CPM uses the full base.
  • Country tables use campaigns targeted at exactly one country.
  • Euro figures come only from accounts billed in euros; TON and Stars figures stay in TON and Stars.
  • Rows that rest on a single account are left out or marked.
