What is a TON account in Telegram Ads?
A Telegram Ads account whose advertising balance is held in TON (now called Gram). Its ads lead only to Telegram destinations — a channel, a bot or a mini app — and moderation is fully automated.
Is TON now called Gram?
The currency is. In June 2026 Pavel Durov announced that TON's native currency is becoming Gram, its name in the original white paper; TON remains the name of the blockchain. ads.telegram.org now says you pay for ads with Gram. Nothing changes for a TON account opened through us: you pay in any crypto, and the balance is held in the same currency, whatever it is called.
Can a TON ad link to my website?
No. TON accounts accept Telegram destinations only — a channel, a bot, a mini app or a personal account. An external URL is not available. A website can still be promoted as a mini app, and on the full-bundle high-risk formats it runs through our own infrastructure. If an external landing page is the destination, that is a Euro account, not TON.
Which countries does a TON account not reach?
Russia and Ukraine. Telegram does not serve TON-funded ads there, so those two are unavailable regardless of targeting. Everywhere else a TON account now uses the same targeting as Euro: countries, languages, topics and devices. To advertise in Russia or Ukraine — or to send traffic to a website — you need a Euro account, and we open it in 48 hours.
Is moderation the same as on a Euro account?
No. TON accounts go through Telegram automated moderation with no human escalation channel. On Euro accounts we can escalate a difficult case to a moderator. For niches where creatives get declined and need arguing, that difference matters more than the commission.
Does TON support video ads?
Yes. Photo and video creative inside the ad works on TON exactly as on Euro — after Telegram's update the ad settings are the same. What a TON ad cannot do is lead to a website: if your video should send people to a landing page, a store or an app page, that is a Euro account, which we open in 48 hours.
What happens if the TON price moves after I pay?
The balance is held in TON, so a 30% fall in TON is a 30% fall in your budget measured in euro. The FX buffer in the invoice covers movement between the quote and your payment, not movement afterwards. If a fixed euro budget matters to you, a Euro account holds it in euro.
What targeting does a Euro account give?
Every available country, Russia and Ukraine included, 71 languages, 41 topics, devices (iOS, Android, desktop), specific channels and bots, and the audiences of the channels you pick — all in one account, set for each campaign. TON accounts now get the same targeting form; what only a Euro account adds is website links and delivery in Russia and Ukraine.

How is the payment amount calculated?
The balance is held in euro. The order shows the full amount before you pay: your advertising budget plus our service fee. You pay in any crypto.
Can my project advertise?
